On my last day, Arnold took a few (unbecoming) photos of me in my office.
After nine months at the Municipality, I finally got to meet the mayor, Alcaldesa Susana Villarán. Despite her controversial reputation (a left-leaning woman as the mayor of Lima?!), I always liked her, and she was especially sweet to me about my grandmother's condition. She noted that she'd seen some of the murals and was impressed, and hoped that if I couldn't stay, at least that the efforts would continue onward.
