Te Invito a Pensar

Walking around El Poblado, a residential yet trendy part of Medellín.

Chic restaurants...

Not-so-chic restaurants (padding included).

¡A mi también!

I invite you to think!

Torre Edimburgo, for diplomatic/hotel purposes, is still under construction but that´s the finished façade.

Business calls.

El Parque de Pies Descalzos (Barefoot Park), a therapeutic reflexology experience where you can wet your feet in warm water, walk through sand and relax.

The people in beige can guide you if you like.

¨Take off your shoes and feel the energy of the planet¨.

Some pies descalzos in the bamboo section.

Edificio EPM (Empresas Públicas de Medellín). The public works building of Medellín is extremely efficient: it produces its own ventilation, treats its own water, and has floors organized by the amount of traffic (for example, conference rooms on the bottom floors, more exclusive offices at the top).

Water treatment doubles as a nice moat.

Weird uploading error, but I like it! You can catch a glance of the ventilation system at the top.

An all too-common sight.

Selling futbol tickets at the stadium, which in Medellín is part of a huge sports complex.

Just taking in the view...

Mountainside, roadside homes.

¨We moved to the diagonal corner¨; probably one of El Retiro´s countless furniture stores.

Cathedral of El Retiro.
